Joanne Dent
BSc (Hons), PGDip ACIEEM
Ecologist
Jo has always had a passion for wildlife and nature and decided to change career paths later in life and went back to university to study BSc (Hons) Wildlife Conservation. This sparked a love of hedgehogs, and she went on to undertake her dissertation on hogs and became involved in a project in 2012, run by the Mammal Society monitoring population numbers and habitat preference.
Jo has worked as a seasonal ecologist previously and has experience of bat, amphibian, and reptile surveys, as well as reptile translocations, GCN eDNA and ECoW work.
Jo also enjoys bird watching and immersing herself (and trying to drag her son) into the natural world whenever possible. Previous experience includes volunteering with Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, Plantlife and the UK Wolf Trust.
