John L

With nine survey seasons under his belt, John (aka Lynchy) has undertaken hundreds of surveys for bats, GCN, reptiles, water voles and badgers.

John is one of our tree climbing team and can usually be found somewhere in the canopy (or on the ground, see left) in search of protected species. An outdoor first aid certificate and 12+ years’ experience in rock and alpine climbing help John to be a safe and proficient operator.

John also has many years’ experience in bat sound technology and specialises in the recording and analysis of bat calls.
