Mark has been a birder for over forty years and has travelled the length and breadth of the country in pursuit of his feathered friends.

Later in life he decided to go back to university and gain a BSc (Hons) in Conservation Land Management.

In his previous role with Atkins as an Assistant Ecologist/ ECoW, he was involved with badger and GCN works on the East West Rail Project.

Mark has undertaken voluntary work for the BTO, RSPB and continues to volunteer with the Northants Amphibian and Reptile Group where he has been involved with a project radio tagging adders. During the summer months, when birding is a bit quieter, Mark turns his attention to Lepidoptera and Odonata.
