Principal Ecologist

Mick has 22 years’ experience as a marine and terrestrial ecologist. His conservation career began as a Marine Biologist working on longline fishing vessels in the South Atlantic, recording fatalities of albatross and other seabirds.

Mick is a protected species expert and is one of a handful of UK Ecologists that holds a Natural England badger class licence, which typically allows him to secure badger licences for clients in five working days.

He also advises at senior levels on reptile translocations and invasive plant removal. Mick is also experienced in project management on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) working with clients such as Laing O’Rourke, Murphy’s, Balfour Beatty, Kier & Vinci.
